A Fun Friday Night!

We don't usually go to many high school football games, but we had a few kids performing tonight.  Charlotta had cheer camp, while Skylar and James had marching band.  Kellen and Brennen just wanted to watch the football game.

Getting ready to cheer.
Skylar laughing with friends before they play.
James, playing in the marching band.  And yes, my kid is the only one with an untucked shirt.  Unbeknownst to me, his pants from last year did not fit in the waist anymore, so he couldn't button his pants.  Therefore, he couldn't tuck in his shirt!

Doing some cheering--I should of put her hair up real cute with bows and things, but well, I can't manage to get my son to tuck in his shirt, so...
 Skylar's performance.
Nothing to be embarrassed about here;)
Snuggle time in the stands after her cheering!

Tinker Crates have arrived!

JT decided to get the boys a monthly subscription for Tinker Crates.  They are little science projects in a box. The boys seem to love them and get right to work!

The homecoming disaster:(

Skylar was so excited for the upcoming homecoming dance!  She even asked me to take her shopping for a dress.  She has never asked me to go shopping before, so I was very excited to have mother daughter time.  Well, I remember homecoming being a formal affair, but Skylar insisted it was just Sunday dresses.  After trying on about 10 dresses, we found a very simple dress that we were both happy with.

Skylar had a fun night planned with her friends.  They were going to all get ready at a friend's house and then Papa was going to pick her up in the old Woodie and drive her and her friends to the dance.
Dressed and ready to go:)  Skylar and her friends were at the dance for 15min before we get a call from crying girls.  Apparently, you only wear t-shirts and cut-offs to the homecoming dance around here.  They felt so out of place that we had to pick them up so they could change.  And here I thought they were going to be way under dressed!

Icing down the shoulder!

Now that triathlon season is over, it's time to repair all the broken parts.  Unfortunately for me, that means shoulder surgery and recovery of six months.
