And he's on all fours!

Brennen has finally managed to get up on all fours to crawl! He has been doing the army crawl for sometime now, but he has now managed to get all the way up. He can really move now and he is pretty proud!

If you are curious about what the oldest two are up to at my sister's house, check out her blog:

We're off to visit the Golder's!

Skylar and James are going to visit Brad and Lovisa for a week. It is about a 14 hour drive. It just happened that Brad's baseball team had a game in Davenport this weekend, which is exactly half way between our houses. So we met up in Davenport, had a good time and made the transfer of kids! When we first met, we were at the hotel and decided to do a little swimming to burn of some excess car energy.

The Dean Family Diva!

Then we went out for a nice dinner.

Then it was off to the baseball game!

After the game, Skylar and James got to hang out with Brad in the media booth and talk on the radio. They thought they were pretty cool.

It was so odd. Skylar froze up and could hardly speak. James was a jabber-jaw and would not be quiet. He loved it. Very opposite of what I thought would happen.

Dinner at Hyman's Pit

Every year my Bible study (yes I did say Bible Study!) group has a BBQ during the summer. There are eight families with a total of 25 kids. It is quite a gathering. The kids really love it because they get to swim, fish, eat lots of treats, roast marshmallows and make smores and all of that with lots of other kids! The kids started out with the fishing.

Kellen was not pleased with the bathroom facilities (a port-a-pot)!

Then it was time to eat. One of the tables of kids.

Then it was time for swimming:)

Then roasting marshmallows.

Finally, time to say goodnight!

I am so happy that Skylar is home!

My mama picked up Skylar from camp today and I am so happy that she is home!

Skylar outside her cabin at camp.

Skylar with Gus Gus, her favorite camp councilor.

Skylar takes me on rides on the scooter and I just love it! I did find my own ride though and I was pretty proud of myself.

Kellen loves to be naked on the porch! Mama really tries to keep him dressed, but he refuses.

The Ozarks are so much fun!!

We have just spent the last couple of days at The Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. Wayland, Jody and family joined us and so did Lena and Big James! We had so much fun together. The kids all really clicked and we had very busy days! We swam, boated, mini golfed, tubed, swam some more, etc., etc. I think everyone had a fantastic time!

Feeding the fish down at the docks.

The ducks and the fish fight for food.

All the kids together. Kellen, Skylar, Brennen, Carly, James, Maddie, and Ginny.

Mama, I love this place!

Skylar goes down the water slide.

Mama and Kellen have a go on the water slide.
Kellen loved the slide and wanted to go again and again and again!

James taking a dip.

While I was taking Kellen down the slide over and over again, Lena was on Brennen duty. They had a lot of fun together in the pool!

Skylar has a poolside snack and says, "This is the best vacation EVER!"
The kids had so much fun when they went tubing. It was a big fight on who would go with who and who's turn was next.

Ginny and James on the tube.

Big James gets tossed around in the tube and had a big wipe out.
We did a lot of swimming and relaxing in the lake and jumping off of the boat!

Brennen gets very hot hanging out on the boat while we all swim. He did go for a dip, but he did not like it!
We did have one day of rain so we went to Miner Mikes (an indoor game place where they have lots of video games, a few rides, and a large tunnel maze playground). The kids absolutely loved it there!

All of us on the train ride.

Skylar having a blast on the bumper cars.

Brennen just loved going on the little car that moved back and forth. He thought he was pretty cool!

Kellen stayed in the ball pits most of the time.

If you would like to see more pictures, I have started a share site on Shutterfly so that I can upload all of my pictures. I will continue to post on this blog mainly. When I have a big event with lots of pictures, I will upload them all to the shutterfly page so that you can see all of the pictures if you desire. Here is the website and I have added all of the pictures from the Ozarks. I hope you enjoy.

Kellen's 3rd Birthday!

We started the morning out with a nice little breakfast. Getting the birthday placemat and plate is a pretty big deal around here and Kellen was so happy to get a turn with it.

Later on in the day, it was time for the party. We started with a small water fight. Kellen loved squirting everyone.

He also enjoyed getting attacked back!

Skylar and Grandma attack each other:)

James tries to check out what is wrong with his squirter, but gets himself in the eye.

Brennen just thought we all were fools!

Then it was time for a little pin the candle on the cupcake. James was the big winner!

Next, we played a little musical chairs, where Kellen was the winner!

Kellen is very excited about his prize!!

I had to let Skylar win a game as well, so we played who could do the most jumping jacks in 30sec. Who do you think won?

Time for silly party favors.

Time for cake.

I have no idea how this happened!

Finally, presents!!!! Skylar thought of a present (a gumball machine and a extra pack of gum) for Kellen all on her own and she bought it with her own money. She was very proud of her gift for him and I was very proud of her for being so thoughtful!

James is starting to get a little bored with all of the present opening! After Kellen opened the present that James picked out for him (a baby flashlight), James lost interest!

The winning presents--the pack of gum and the little flashlight! Why do I even bother?
Brennen crawling around in all the rubbish after the present opening. He loved chewing on all of the paper and ribbons!

All and all, I think it was an excellent party!
