She melts my heart!

Charlotta is such a good little mommy!  She loves to surround herself with all of her babies and read stories to them or play teacher with them.  She has a really big heart.

Midwestern's!!!

Our final meet of the year (and last swimming post for a while:))!  This is the goal throughout the whole season--to make it to this meet!  We headed off to Lincoln for the three day meet, along with fourteen other swimmers on our team.  I was so proud of the kids.  They both made it on the medal stand for the first time.  These are the fastest kids in the whole state and my kids were in the top eight!  My chest was really puffed out:) Here is James for his 8th place in the 100 back!
Skylar for 7th in the mile.  She is really good at the long stuff.  IF she had swum the 1000 that she did last weekend, she would of placed 3rd!  But we had to pick...
A pretty happy girl!
Skylar and James with their best swim friend, Avery!
It was a really fun weekend!  And our girl Avery got FIRST in her 50 free!!  She was moving!

Final qualifying chance

Skylar and James are very close to Midwestern Championship (state) qualifying times.  So, we headed down to Council Bluffs for one final attempt at qualifying for state next weekend.  Also, Skylar wanted to swim every event this year and she still needed to swim the 1000 free to complete that goal.  The kids did fantastic!  James qualified in three more events and Skylar qualified in two more, including that 1000 free.  She swam her heart out in that 1000 and won the whole thing!

These are her splits and she dropped 12 seconds in her 500 and she still had another 500 to go!  Good things are in store for next weekend!  A happy girl!!
And my little man dropped a lot of time and had three first places!

Tri-State Championships

Our district meet is today, which is the last meet for many of our swimmers.  In order to go to Tri-State Chamionships, one needs to have a B cut swim time.  Out of 72 kids on our swim team, 42 made it.  Poor little Brennen missed by .2 seconds in his backstroke:(  But Skylar, James and Kellen all qualified.  Here we are doing our team cheer!
