TWO more snow days!

 Back from Nashville and school gets cancelled for two more days due to snow.  What else should we do, but lounge about in PJ's with best friends!

Thanksgiving week activities

 It's tradition-Swedish pancakes (or sugar pancakes as the kids call them)!

 Another tradition-the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day!  We had a full crew this year and the kids all ran really well!

 Meeting Byron's girlfriend--she is a real sweetheart!

And to cap off the week-a visit to the ER.  James' hand got really infected so he had to get IV antibiotics.

First blizzard of the year!

We are supposed to leave for Nashville tomorrow for Thanksgiving break, but I am not sure that is going to happen!  We are getting pounded with snow.  The kids love it though:)

Honor Band recital!

Skylar practiced hard all summer long to make it into Honor Band this year.  She made it AND she was the top trumpet from our school.  She had to come back to the audition room for recalls, which she said could be for two reasons.  Either she was on the edge of making it into honor band OR she was battling for the top spot to go onto All-state. They do not tell you which one it is!  She thought it was for the first, so she was so nervous that she was not even going to make it that she played bad:(  Turns out she was battling for top spot, but as she did not perform well, she missed that opportunity.  Anyway, today is the recital for all the kids who made it.  It was a very special day for her!
