Soccer Season starts

All three boys love soccer, so it is the start of many nights and Saturdays at the soccer fields.  James is actually on two teams and is sometimes playing soccer for three hours a day (his choice!).
I was pleasantly surprised this year with the soccer.  They have all improved a lot and I enjoyed watching the games a little more:)

Skylar's Solo contest

At the end of the year, the band has a solo contest.  Each person gets to play their instrument alone in front of a judge.  And then they get a grade.  Here Skylar is getting ready to go in and looking a bit
nervous.  And if you click on the link below, you can hear her perform.  She was really happy with how she did and thinks she got a 1 (the highest).

Most Improved Seahawk!

At the end of every swim season, we have a banquet to recognize the swimmers.  There are four special awards that get passed out that everyone wants to get because you get a big trophy.  Well, this year we thought that Skylar had most improved in the bag.  She dropped so much time in all of her events and really had a great year.  But as Coach Lisa started describing this swimmer, it became very clear that it was not Skylar.  I was a little shocked when it turned out to be Brennen!  I hadn't realized how much time he had dropped in the year.  When I got home from the banquet, I looked at all of his times and sure enough, he dropped a lot.  35 seconds in his 100 IM, 20 seconds in all of his 25's and so on.  I knew he had improved, but I didn't realize how much!  Proud of this little guy:)  (And he was so happy to win his first trophy that is his--he has pretended that some of James' were his in the past!)

The Easter bunny came!

Lined up and ready to dash!  Lotta and Brennen got a little bit of a head start this year, so they could actually get some eggs.

At the end of the day, Brennen shared his eggs with Kellen.  He was the only one who didn't run like a maniac!

Getting ready for Easter:)

Easter would not be complete without some Eater egg dying.  Daddy helped out this year and he had the most creative and pretty eggs of the bunch--way better than Mommy's!
