The Goslinga's come to Vallhalla

We had our friends from Sioux Center join us at the lake house for the weekend. It was really great because the kids paired up really well. Micah and James we best buds, Skylar and Austen have always been good friends and Kellen and Annika were like two peas in a pod. The older kids decided to start making fun of Kellen and Annika and finally Annika screamed at us, "I don't have to marry him!"

Of course, we had to break out the Kubb set and teach the Goslinga boys how to play!

A new shiner!

The kids were are so happy to be all together again (although Mama is loosing her sanity a bit-when does school start up again? Forgive me, I digress)! They were all playing in the kiddie pool and shooting water guns at each other when Kellen tripped and fell, smashing his face into the railing on the deck. The pictures do not do it justice!

Tummy Time and Sprinkler fun

Finally, a kiddo who loves to be on her tummy. Charlotta is the first baby of mine to actually like her tummy time. I got down on the floor with her for a little photo session. I took a ton of pictures, so check out the shutterfly site for more.

While we were on the floor, Kellen and Brennen were outside playing in the sprinkler that Kellen got for his birthday from Skylar. Here is a little video that shows what it does.

One hot muggy day!

It was horribly hot and muggy today, so we thought it would be fun to break out the baby pool. The boys had so much fun!

Kellen's Birthday!

We started the day off by going to the bakery for breakfast. Then we had to run to the doctor because James has a bad case of swimmer's ear. Back home for a little lunch on the special birthday placemat/plate!

Then it was nap time a then off to the pool for some fun!

Then it was back home for the party!




We started the party with a few games-pin the candle on the cupcake, silly string fight, and water gun fight.





Then we opened presents because Kellen could not wait anymore.



Then we finished with a little cake!
