End of the year concerts begin

 Every grade has a music concert at the end of the year-it's Brennen's turn!

Skylar's solo contest

Skylar's turn for her solo contest.  She was VERY nervous, but she did well. I guess she has to relearn how to play the trumpet because her lips are not right, so she can't  get a good range.  A long summer of practice ahead of her.

Soccer Season starts!

 With four kids playing soccer, I will be living at the soccer fields for the next month!

Solo contest

I really don't understand music jargon, but I think what the judge was saying was "PRACTICE!" You have good skills, you just need to play the music how it is written.  I think he told James he was the next great composer--he played that song in his own way!  Pretty sure that was not a compliment.

Cleaning out the garage

Well, it's spring, so that means we need to clean out the garage.  We found a box of gnomes under some other boxes of crap!  These were made by JT's grandma who passed away last year.  Brennen was so excited to put them out in the yard.  It made us smile to think of Oma again.

A weekend in Nashville

My little brother was awarded top 30 under 30 in Nashville, so we flew down for the weekend to celebrate.  Skylar joined the track team this year and started practices this week.  She did  not even make it through takeoff before she passed out cold.  I've never seen her like that after swim practice!
