Happy Halloween!

It has finally arrived--Trick or Treat!!!!  We have been waiting forever!  Brennen is the Robber (stealing hearts, of course) and Kellen is his arresting officer.

This is the first year that Skylar did not go door to door.  She stayed home and passed out the candy.  She is getting all grown up!

 This is the first year that Charlotta understood what trick or treating was about.  She LOVED it.  After every house, she said, "and now we go to another one?"

Best Buds!

Charlotta and James just love to play together.  Most of the time, they play football (James lets Charlotta run with the ball and he tackles her--she just loves it!), but today they decided on a little ipad time together.

The first snow of the year

 Just a little dusting, but we are not quite ready for snow!  So what does a girl do with no siblings to play with?  Hang out in PJ's all day and eat applesauce...

The Royal Treatment

 Skylar had been begging me to let her paint my nails for a long time to make me the "most beautiful mom in the world!"  Finally, I let her pamper me:)  She did a good job.  She really must of payed attention when we go to the salon to get our nails done.  She put lotion on my legs, clipped the nails, apologized for not being professional because she did not have a pumice stone, gave my legs a massage...It was awesome!!

What a day!

So many exciting things happening at once today!  We get both the costume box and Grandpa David's Halloween box at the same time.  What a dilemma?  Which box should we open first?  I guess they decided on the costume box to fully get in the mood for the Halloween box!

 

 Thank you so much David!  It is definitely a favorite day of the year when the Halloween box comes.  Love the candy treats this year:)

It's been six weeks!

I'm a free woman!  The sling came off today.  Now I get to start to learn how to use my arm again.  No active motion allowed, but I can at least move it with my other arm to get it moving.  Yeah me!

Middle School band field show

 The band got to play at the local college half time show.  The kids were all so excited and worked hard playing Phantom of the Opera music.  I was impressed with the kids!

Sadly, we found out this week that Sammy has prostate cancer, which is not very treatable in dogs.  He is in a lot of pain and can no longer control going to the bathroom.  We will be saying good-bye to him tomorrow.  He is much loved and there are a lot of tears around here!
