Papa Goes Salmon fishing!

While Mama is getting everyone settled back into the routine of going back to school, Papa got to go on a business trip to go salmon fishing in Canada. It looks like it was a beautiful trip.

First day of school! Kellen's first day of Kindergarten!

Kellen has been waiting a long time to start kindergarten. "When I'm five, I get to ride the bus every day with Skylar and James." Well, that day has finally arrived and Kellen was so excited, he could not wait to get to the bus stop.




You see James turned around? He was trying to get Brennen off of the bus. Brennen tried to sneak on as well and was very upset when he could not go to school with everyone else.





Then he ran down the street after the bus, trying to catch it, yelling "wait for me!"

No computer! First day of school!

Sorry folks! Apparently, the hard drive on my computer is ruined, so I have no way of posting pictures. I have to wait for the computer to get fixed, so no blog posts for a while.

It is the first day of school and the kids were so cute and excited to go to school! Kellen especially! He could not wait to get on that school bus. Brennen also tried to sneak onto the bus, but I caught him in time. He did run after the bus, screaming, "stop, wait for me!" It was so cute and my heart broke a little. He kept saying, "I need my Skylar, I need my Skylar." He is going to have a rough year being the big man at home. He is more of a follower, so he is really going to miss his siblings! Pictures when I can.

Brennen turns 3!

Last kid birthday of the birthday season! I think you know the drill by now, but here we go again. We celebrated a few days early so that as many people could be there as possible.

Mormor arrives!

Nothing cures a little sadness like a visit from your mom! Skylar and Marilyn met my mom up in Minneapolis to go to the American girl doll store. This was Skylar's birthday present from the grandma's and she has been counting the days since June (pictures are from Skylar's camera).

Mormor's favorite thing to do is play game with us kids and sit on the beach a watch us play. We are so happy to make her happy...

A visit to Sioux Falls!

Even though I live only an hour away from Sioux Falls, I have never really been there to explore it before. Sometimes it take a visitor to help you discover a special place. Here are the falls that Sioux Falls are named for (I did not even know they had a falls).

Best Friends for 20 years and counting...


Then we went to explore the butterfly house. When we were there, Papa called and said that he had landed in...Sioux Falls! So he came over to meet us and spent the rest of the day with us.

They found a snake in the yard today and were not afraid of it at all... Me on the other hand, yuck!

It was a little cold today, so we stayed out of the water, but we found plenty of other things to do.

I don't remember the name of this game, but it was a lot of fun!
