It's December 1, break out the Christmas stuff!

Kellen has been asking me everyday, when are we going to get our tree. He made me promise on his way to preschool, that I would get it today. I kept my promise and here we are decorating it!

Thanksgiving in Nashville

Every year, we head down to Nashville for Thanksgiving. I was so excited to get some photos of the babies together! I had my camera all ready to snap some pictures and my battery promptly died. Lucky for me, I had my handy cell phone (even though the pictures are crap)!
The Operyland hotel does an ice sculptor show and this year the theme was from the movie "Santa Claus is Coming to Town." Everything you see is made out of ice. It really is pretty cool! This is the giant ice slide that the kids get to slide down.

This is the manger with baby Jesus. I have no idea why the picture is so small!

Lovisa and the kids doing a little Karaoke! Skylar got 84% great in "The Eye of the Tiger!"

First snow of the year

The kids were all so excited for the first snow of the year. They could not wait to dig out the snow gear. Our first snow is usually in October, so this has been a nice reprieve for me, but the kids could not wait to get into the snow! The snow was perfect for building snowmen, so the kids got right to it.

James add the head!

Kellen decorates his snowman.

The snowmen family (not sure why James' snowman is frowning?).

Then it's off to do some snow angels!

Kellen loves to do somersaults at random times, so what better time than now...

Oh, I just love it!

Brennen joins in the fun and just loves it!

Report cards are in!

*****Warning: If you don't want to hear a mom brag about her kids, skip this post!****

The kids just finished up with their first quarter of school, so we had parent-teacher conferences this week. Usually, Skylar starts off the school year a little rough and then she improves a lot. However, she seems to have finally calmed down in the classroom and is really eager to learn. She got outstanding marks in reading, math, and science. She needs to work on spelling, handwriting, and listening (no surprise there!). James also got outstanding marks in reading and math. He also needs to work on spelling, handwriting, and listening in class. I felt like their conferences mirror images of each other. I was really proud of their test scores, which for both of them, were "well above average!" I left the school with my chest puffed out with pride!

"Take-A-Treat" Night

It is Charlotta's first Halloween and I think that she made an adorable elephant! She was not very happy in the hood, so it came off pretty quick. She and papa stayed home to man the door, while the rest of us went "take-a-treating!"

Brennen was the cutest Holloweener ever! I was pushing him in the stroller, but it could only go up to the front step. He would hop off and start running to the door. While everyone else yelled "trick-or-treat," he must of heard "take-a-treat", so that is what he yelled! Then, he would sneak under everyone else and grab 5 pieces of candy. I did not realize what he was doing at first, but I kept wondering how his bucket was so much more full than all the others! Finally, I spotted that little hand going in and coming out with a whole bundle of candy. I stopped it right away, but he already had quite a haul! "Take-a-treat, take-a treat..."
