Beggar's Night is finally here!

The kids look forward to Halloween night for so long.  I mean, really, what is more fun than running door to door in costume collecting tons of candy?  We got a lot of comments on our costumes this year, so the kids must of picked well.  Kellen's was a favorite of everyone's.  Here he is, a box of popcorn!

A Viking princess in honor of her Swedish roots.
Woody (a darn cute one, but there were a few other Woody's out there, so it lost it's effect a little).
The cutest pig ever!  She had the best time collecting a lot of candy!
A Bandito (with a broken ankle).
All together!  Notice the walking boot on James' foot?  Well, he fell down the steps a month ago.  I took him in to get it x-rayed and they said no break, just a sprained ankle.  So he has been playing football, running, and swimming on that ankle.  Well, it was just not getting better, so I took him in last week to get it x-rayed again and they still said no break, but the bone is very large so something must be going on.  So they sent us to a pediatric specialist and sure enough it is broken on the growth plate.  They were going to cast it, but decided on a boot instead.  Here's to hoping it heals fast now!!!
Skylar's friend Jessica, an Ipod, came trick-or-treating with us.
Getting ready to run for the next house for her next piece of candy.
The kids had a great time and they were all so cute and happy!  I love Halloween!

Bathroom chores

Guess who is potty trained and pretty proud of herself?!

Practicing brushing with our new tooth tunes toothbrush.  It plays music for two minutes (which is how long you are supposed to brush your teeth) and when the music is done, you can stop brushing.  Two minutes is a really long time to brush your teeth;)
 Check out my "shiny teeth!"

Papa makes the day!

Papa made Kellen's day!  Kellen was doing a unit at school on pumpkins and they asked for parental volunteers to come in and assist with the final project.  Mama had to go to the middle school for the "girl talk" with Skylar's class, so Papa offered to help out.  Kellen was so happy to have his papa there!  They weighed their pumpkins, guessed how many lines were on them, guessed how much they weighed and how many seed they had.  At the end they got to carve the pumpkins.  JT was in charge of a group of four who told Kellen, "your dad is awesome!"
I think his big smile says it all!

Of course, when Kellen brought his carved pumpkin home, we had to carve all of our pumpkins.  The kids were really into it this year and everyone helped.  Everybody scooped their own pumpkin...

Skylar carved her own pumpkin with the help of her friend Jessica and Mama helped everyone else get what they wanted!  Here are the final results...
Thank you Papa for making this a pump-tastic day!

It's here!!! It's here!!!!!

The Halloween box from Grandpa David has arrived!!  The kids love this box more than anything that comes in the mail all year (of course, it is about the only box that is addressed to them...)!  Skylar always reads the letter to everyone.

Of course, she also has to pass out the bags.
Everyone loved their new Halloween shirts and the 10 pounds (I actually weighed it because it was so much) of candy that came with it.
"THANK YOU DAVID,"  shout the kids!

I have the bestest sister!

My big sister is the best sister in the whole world.  She played outside with me for two whole hours.  She took me to the park, made giant piles of leaves to play in, pushed me on the swings, demanded Mama grab the camera and take pictures of the cutest sister in the world...

I love her sooooooo much!

Pumpkinland

Our annual trip to Pumpkinland has arrived!  The kids just love going here year after year!

Lotta is really happy to be a part of the party.
As always, the animals are a big hit.

 The pumpkin patch.
 Family love!
Just as I take the picture, Charlotta face plants.  Miss "I do it" decided she had to walk and well, the pumpkin vines were a little too much for her tiny legs!
Into the big corn maze this year!

Finding the best pumpkins in the patch!

 Help!!!!  It is too heavy!
Another great pumpkin filled day!
