It is not Bubonic Plague...

If you look closely, these are little pasta stars. What a mistake on my part. I have been finding little stars everywhere and they are impossible to clean up!

Later in the day, Skylar decided to turn Brennen into Brennea. He actually looked pretty enough to be a little girl. I especially like the orange belt around his waist which matched the orange anklet he had on as well! Poor Brennen. But they had so much fun together and it took Skylar a good hour to put the whole get up together. I just kept hearing giggling from the bedroom and bathroom! It made my heart swell.

Paybacks are a B!t@h!

I don't know how many of you remember, but when Kellen was 2, he just tortured Skylar and James by turning off the TV while they were watching something. Then he would run away in glee as Skylar and James hurled invectives at him! Well, it has come full circle. Now Brennen is turning off the TV on Kellen and Kellen is getting pissed. Oh, how I love a little payback! (I know you are all thinking, what is that white stuff on the TV stand? Kellen had just emptied a cheerios bag all over and that is the cheerios dust. I was not pleased and was mid clean when the moment to take the picture came.)

A beautiful fall day!

It started out as a gloomy day, but it turned into an absolutely beautiful fall day! Since Skylar was off to swim practice, the boys and I played out in the driveway until it was time to pick her up. We had such a good time.



I think that Brennen could walk if he weren't such a chicken. The moment I make him stand he just sits down and refuses to put any weight on his legs. Now he has started to do a half walk/crawl thing. He can really move fast! However, when he did a face plant into the concrete this afternoon, he was definitely moving much slower!

What we do when we're not schooling or swimming or taekwondoing...

The kids are pretty busy these days, but they do have some down time. James likes to play ball (any kind of ball, base/basket/foot/golf).

Kellen likes to watch the worst movie in the world...Space Buddies, over and over again:(

And Skylar likes to set up a "scene" and let her imagination go.

A lot of love for a little baby!

Everyday after school, Skylar's first question is, "where's Brennen?" She just adores this baby and she takes really good care of him. She is the perfect little mama!

She is not the only one who takes care of Brennen though. Kellen loves to give Brennen a ride on the Kellen express!

Brennen loves it just as much as Kellen!

Finally, we had friends over at Marilyn's house for dinner. The kids were all there, but they stayed out of sight down in the toy room. So us adults actually got the chance to have a nice dinner and conversation.

Sorry Everyone!

I am so sorry that I have not posted in over a week! I have been really sick and am finally feeling good again. I still have a lot of congestion, but I don't feel like I am in a fog anymore. The swine flu is going around, so maybe I had that! Anyway, now that I am back in gear, Kellen and I have a lot of fun together in the mornings. The older two are at school and Brennen is still taking a morning nap, so Kellen and I have some alone time together. I think we both really cherish this time together!

Kellen's first day of Preschool

Kellen started preschool today and he was so excited to go until we got into the room. As soon as we walked in, he got really clingy and didn't want to let me go. Then he cried and cried when I left. It always takes Kellen a while to get use to something new, but I hope this doesn't go on too long. The older two could have cared less if I was there or not, so this is something new for me. I think I like the not caring about me more (a little sad, huh?).

JT's Birthday!!

Ross and Allison came up for the Labor Day weekend so they were there to celebrate JT's birthday. Ross and Kellen had bonded in the morning and Kellen came out with a new do. I really think that it fits his personality!

We started the day at Marilyn and Jim's house for a little birthday lunch.

After JT blew out the candles, the vultures attacked the candles to get the frosting off (33candles cleared in about a minute). It was like a feeding frenzy. Brennen's in the background going, "Hey, what about me?"

Then we headed over to the lake for some boating, swimming and dinner at Gapetto's (a nice Italian restaurant).


The kids love their Shirley Temples. Then Brennen decided to put on a cuteness show and had everyone smiling:)

Nothing is better than a sand (rock) box!

James and Kellen don't often play together (James is usually connected to Skylar's hip), so when I looked out the window and saw this site, my heart melted. They played the whole afternoon together and had a lot of fun!

What do we do all day without Skylar and James?

These two laugh a lot together without their older siblings. Today, the tupperware cabinet was the best!
