Skylar had a friend over today who loves to play with dogs. I felt a little bad for Sam today when they were done with him, but he took it all in stride! The eyeshadow really made me laugh!
Then it was time for upside down play with Papa!
Brennen usually loves being upside down, but he just wasn't into it today. He quickly recovered his smile though!
The very best sound in the world!

The King has arrived!
The weather this weekend has been cold and rainy so the kids could not play outside. On Saturday, while I was putting Brennen to bed (JT is out of town), the other three decided to have a food fight in my carpeted living room. I came out of Brennen's room because I could hear all the shouting and there were raspberries ground into the carpet, smashed into their clothes and hair, ketchup all over the walls...Needless to say, I exploded on them. I think I managed to get through their thick skulls what a bad idea this was. Anyway, they were grounded on Sunday. No TV, video games, friends, etc. So they decided to break out the dress up and here we have King James. He told me he really likes being a king!

Lots to do, so little time!
We are putting a new roof on the house, so the kids are banished to the sandbox. It is so loud in the house, the dogs go crazy and the kids can't sleep!
James and Kellen enjoy their banishment!
Our new golf course opened today, so JT and I went out to test the course. It felt like we were playing in a hurricane (it was sooooooo windy-I think I got wind burn), but JT and I managed to put together a nice round.
After golf, we rushed home to pick up the kids and then turned right around out the door because Skylar had her vocal concert tonight.
Brennen and James did well sitting through the concert. I could not catch Kellen on camera because he would not sit still or be quiet.
The little pig herself!

A bad news day
You wouldn't know it from this picture, but I have not been feeling well these past couple of days. I have been waking up in the night again and I am refusing to drink anything. I do not like my mama's boobie anymore and I can barely tolerate a bottle. After a long, cranky day, mama took me into the doctor and guess what? Another double ear infection. This time they gave me two shots of antibiotics in the legs. Mama had never heard of this before so she was a little nervous. After she thought about it though, she thought it was much better than forcing medicine down my throat for two weeks. If I am not better in two weeks, they are going to have to put tubes in my ears. As this picture shows, even though I won't drink, I still love my sweet potatoes and blueberries (you can thank Kellen for the bad camera shot, he pulled on Mama's arm right as she was taking the picture)!
Kellen also had bad news today. He had his hearing and vision screened today and failed both tests. So now we have to take him to a specialist for each. I think his hearing is fine, he just has a little cold today, but we are a little worried about his eyes. Since Mama has such bad eyes and they got bad early in life, Mama is really worried that he is following in her footsteps. The worst thought....trying keep a pair of glasses on Kellen.

A Day at the Circus
Today I got to be a chaperon for Skylar's class to take them to the circus. We had so much fun together today. I got to ride on the school bus, play tag and duck, duck, goose at the park and then watch the circus show with the girls. (Of course, I just had my cell phone camera:()

The three ring circus!
"Mommy, Kellen's washing his hair in the toilet." Truly, a comment you don't hear very often. I really don't know what the boy is thinking!

Burning off some energy
Thank goodness we are finally getting some good weather. The kids seem to have an insane amount of energy right now.
When the kids' energy level gets too high, I make them run 10 times around the deck. That usually leads them to stay outside and play thus burning off more energy and saving my house from falling down.
Kellen, I am pretty sure that is not how you play baseball. However, you do throw the ball well!

Happy Easter!
The start of the Easter egg hunt! The kids had been waiting all morning for the Easter Bunny to come. When they all got into the bath, he finally came (imagine that)! The kids were so excited.
The race is on...
I think Skylar was the overwhelming winner! She was nice enough to share with her brothers though.
I love my Papa so!
This is what Brennen does when he loves you. He sticks out his tongue and makes it into a real fine point!

Preparing for Easter
We got out our Easter egg dying kit and did the annual Easter stuff. The kids really got into decorating the eggs this year and wanted to do more than just eat them. Skylar in particular tried to make her eggs really pretty.
They did not even want to eat them when they were done...Except for Kellen! He really did not want to dye the eggs. All he wanted to do was eat them. Skylar and James wanted to eat "easter" eggs, but not the ones they had worked hard on. Next year, I will have to make a whole extra dozen just for eating while dying.
Brennen had his first ride in the swing today and he just loved it!

A night alone with Mama and Papa!
Easter break has started and with that the three oldest went off with grandma and grandpa to the hotel, so I had a night alone with mom and pops! I think Mama really needed it because Skylar and James were WILD today! I think she was glad to see their backsides. Me, however, I am an angel! I also got a good report at the doctor today. My eyes are fine and my ears are finally infection free after months of antibiotics!

Skylar demonstrates how to multitask!
Sucking her thumb, talking on the phone and going to the bathroom all at the same time. She is a girl who does not like to waste time.
MY EYES.....
Brennen had a small run in with some Spray-n-Wash stain remover (via Kellen's hands) yesterday. I immediately cleaned out his eyes and he seemed to be fine. However, after his nap he seemed to be bothered by light and they were red and puffy. So I washed them out some more and it seemed like that was really hurting him. So I called poison control and they told me to sit him in the tub and continually dump water over his head for 20 min. Boy, was he pissed at me! They called me back to see how he was doing and told me to take him to the ER. So in we went to get his eyes checked and he did have a little abrasion on his eye. So now he has to have antibiotic eye drops for a couple of days. He seems fine today. All I can say is I am really glad that he won't remember all of the abuse Kellen has laid on him!

An interesting Saturday!
Skylar had an overnight party at the mall last night. It started at 10:00pm and we had to pick them up at 6:00am. We thought there was no way she was going to stay up all night as Skylar is a girl who loves her sleep. When I got there to pick her up, her friends said that she had been crying for me to come pick her up because she was so tired and they would not let her sleep. She got home and ran into bed and slept until noon. Then she fought all day long the urge to go to sleep.
When I checked my email this morning, I found out that someone had hacked into my ebay account and had been selling things under my name. Then they were collecting payment and the people were writing me, asking where their product was. So I had to spend a couple of hours with ebay getting it all sorted out.
I struck gold with this child! He is the sweetest, most caring person in the world. If they were all like him, there would be a lot more children in this world.
Kellen--you have your own style!
Lena and Big James were up to visit this weekend. In case anyone was interested, Lena cut her hair and donated it to Locks of Love (following in her big sisters footsteps).
