Time to pick up Skylar!

Camp Tanglefoot is over for this year and it is time to pick Skylar up!  Here is Skylar, waiting for me to get here!  Looks like she is a little bored.  I was a little worried when I saw her like this.

But, once she saw me, she perked right up!
Singing at the program for the parents.
 Getting her badges and certificates.
Saying good-by to her roommate and friend.

On the road again...

This time Skylar is off to girl scout camp!

She really could not wait for me to leave.  She suffered through the pictures then shooed me off!

A busy day!

Mama started the day driving 3 hours to pick up Skylar and James from swim camp.  James made a great friend while he was there (see the 18 year old whose shoulders he is riding on?)  All James could talk about was Justin this and Justin that.  Skylar had a great time as well.

Skylar and James getting their end of the camp awards.

Then we had to dash 3 hours north for a swim meet.  We made it 5 minutes before James' first event.  He swam really well and got a couple of medals.
Skylar had a couple of nice races as well and made the podium in her 200 IM and 100 Breast.
Then we had a 2 hour drive home!  Mama was tired of the car today.

Newest addition to our fleet

Our new paddle boat arrived today, so we had to take it out for a quick spin!

It was very nice and relaxing (for the little ones!--Mama's legs got a little tired with no help in the paddling department)!
We can't wait for everyone to arrive this summer for some lake fun!

Girls weekend (plus our first triathlon)!

Visa and I had been planning a girls weekend at Kiawah Island, SC forever!  We finally made it happen and we decided to throw in our first triathlon for fun.  We had such a great time!  Our first day was spent at the beach...
playing in the waves and body boarding.  My sunglasses 0:ocean 2!

On our way home from the beach, we ran into this fellow!
 Our first triathlon!
I think our bikes were the laughing stock of the competition.  We apparently had "a good rack" (meaning our bikes were in good position), yet we had no clue!  There were lots of high tech awesome bikes.  No matter, we had a great time!

A little tired after the race!
Ready for our night out on the town!

Having a little too much fun--notice the tilted chair in the background... not sure how I broke the wheel off, but I did!

Softball and baseball start!

Surprisingly, Skylar is really into softball.  She just loves it and actually works hard at it.  She is getting pretty good at hitting.  Running--not so much!  She tripped over third base today and went flying!  I could tell she wanted to cry a little, but she stayed tough!

Charlotta watching James play and talking with him in the dugout!
I will get some more pictures of the boys, but I had no camera (a friend took this for me).  All I can say is that if you have ever read "Froggy Plays T-Ball," Kellen is Froggy!  He is hilarious to watch.  I know he is just learning, but on his first at bat, he ran to the pitching mound after he hit it instead of first base.  Sometimes he just draws in the sand.  other times he runs around in circles.  My favorite is when he was running from 3rd to home and we were yelling "run" and he ran for it--the ball that is and tried to pick it up and throw himself out!  So cute!  He was happy though and told me he played "awesome!"

Skylar's birthday (with the family)!

Here we are celebrating again!
Skylar choose fondue for her family dinner.  Then we had more cake!
 Singing Happy Birthday to herself!
 Blowing out the candles (maybe).
What the heck?  They all came back on!
 Oh, come on!
Victory!
More presents--this is a necklace from Sweden with the Swedish horse in white.  I think you can tell Skylar loved it!
The leaning tower of presents.  Skylar was sure her ipod touch (she has been begging for one for six months) was going to be in this stack.  Not so!
Golf clubs from Mormor and Grandma and Grandpa!
There is just one more present, but it really doesn't look like an ipod touch.  Watch Skylar try to hide her disappointment!

video coming

She had a fabulous birthday!

Skylar's Birthday Party!

It's my first attempt on a slumber party--keep your fingers crossed!  We started out with a little swimming at the pool.  It was a really good group of girls, and they all played very well together.

The boys also had a really good time at the pool together!

Finishing the pool time with a dip in the hot tub!
Then it was back to the house for the "party!"  Hippie chicks was the theme, but the boys were just as into it!

There is no party if you don't have a pinata!

 Cake..
 Skylar's favorite part--the presents!
Then the girls were off to watch movies, talk, play games.  It sure sounded like they were having a good time!  Here they are, a little tired the next morning for breakfast.
They all had a great time and no cat fights broke out.  I'd say it was a success!
