My giant turns 10!

 A healthy good morning breakfast, then off to King's Pointe for a day filled with waterslide fun! The girls stuck together and the boys stayed together.

 First time on the high dive-She was pretty proud of herself and went again and again and again!

 James, my most timid, would only do a cannonball.

 Brennen, the daredevil, does full on flips.

 And Kellen does his patented head dive (I would think it would hurt!).

 Back home for cake and presents!

Olympic Trials, June26-July 3

For Christmas, we had given tickets to Skylar and James to go watch the swimming Olympic Trials to see which Americans qualify to swim at the Olympics in Rio.  Well, as the date got closer, Skylar got selected to be a volunteer worker at the trials with a couple of her teammates here in Sioux Center. So, we were off to spend a week in Omaha, watching the best swimmers in the world!

 There is a fan zone at the arena where the kids get to play a bunch of swim themed games, like log rolling, swimming "against" Michael Phelps (I even did that one!), goggle toss, and so on!

 While going out to eat, we got to meet some famous swimmers or their fiance and baby (Michael Phelps, baby Boomer in corner)!  I wish I had posted the Lochte one before he trashed a gas station and lied:(

 We had so much fun doing all things swimming!

Triathlon is in the books!

 Skylar, Kellen and Brennen all love doing triathlon like their mama, so we try to get one in each year.  Charlotta REALLY wanted to do it as well, but she just learned to ride her two-wheeler (triathlon was the reason she became motivated) this week and I was not comfortable with her doing it. James only likes to swim:(  Skylar thinking over her race plan.

Charlotta throws her first party

Lotta read a book about someone throwing a party about six months ago and ever since then, she has been planning her own party. She made invitations, bought and wrapped presents, made cookies. She finally held her party tonight with her siblings having a dance party outside!  I might have an event planner in my future:)

Happy Birthday, Skylar!

Skylar loves a good party.  Even though she is turning 14, she still wants to have a birthday party! Her favorite?? Fondue night with the girls!
